Weekly Fire Alarm Testing

To maintain continuous operation of the Fire Alarm & Detection system, weekly testing is required by law and must be documented in the fire alarm logbook. This test involves the activation of a manual call point to confirm correct system operation, with a different call point used each week. Weekly testing forms part of the user’s responsibilities and is not a requirement for scheduled maintenance. Whilst weekly fire alarm testing may be conducted by any suitably competent person within the building KNE Fire Protection also provide this service.
